Department of Genetic Epidemiology

The Department teaches students at University Medical Center Göttingen as well as within the framework of the Campus Institute for Statistics (CIDAS) including the sections Statistics and Medical Data Science.

The courses on offer include the subjects of epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, and biometric methods, as required in the fields of statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology. We also teach subject-specific key qualifications.

  • Bachelor Molecular Medicine: B.MM.110 Biostatistik für Molekularmediziner, every summer semester
  • Master Molecular Medicine: M.MM.020 Genetic Epidemiology, every winter semester
  • Applied Data Science: M.Inf.2101 Best Practice Methods of Privacy and Ethics in Data Science, every winter semester
  • Applied Statistics: M.MED.0002 Longitudinal Data Analysis, every winter semester and  M.MED.0006 Genetic Epidemiology, every winter semester

Doctoral students of the Institute do their doctorate in the doctoral programme of human sciences in medicine (only in German), in biostatistics, or epidemiology.
